We are foundation and the creators of the unique, innovative, socioeconomic business model behind the development of Maya Global 2012. We are the two co-founders of Maya Global 2012 – old business guys and baby boomers that have developed the “2040 Outlook Company” model to bring the power of private enterprise, technology, social engineering, and education to bear on the problems of rural poverty and environmental degradation in the world’s developing regions.
As citizens of this planet, we are always asking ourselves, “What If?” Over the next several newsletters we will answer the What Ifs, by sharing with you the concept behind the 2040 Outlook Company. Through Maya Global 2012 and the 2040 Outlook Company, we will show how we can bring our friends, family members, and colleagues together to create an unstoppable social movement aimed at reducing poverty and improving our natural environment. New Leaf World Markets’ 1st Project
Maya Global 2012 has been carefully selected as our first project due to the significance of December 22nd, 2012 to the Maya people as they, along with all of humanity, enter into the ‘dawn of a new era’. December 21st is the ending of the 5,140-year-old Maya Calendar, which coincides with the cosmic alignment of our solar system with the plane of the Milky Way – an event that occurs once every 25,920 years. What more meaningful time to give birth to the building and development of our three entities that are designed to attack and reverse rural poverty and environmental degradation?

Recently, the UN 2009 World Hunger estimate of 1 Billion has been revised to 870 Million! Is this acceptable as we enter the 21st Century? We say “NO, NO, NO…”
Whether it is 1 Billion, 870 Million, or 500 Million…what does such a staggering number say about how we conduct our business and social affairs? Government agencies, world leaders, NGOs, businesses, and other leading institutions and are often too busy to devote themselves towards coming up with a real solution. Those that do try to help eliminate rural poverty and environmental degradation usually try to do so using the same techniques that have failed time and time again. We believe that through the “2040 Outlook Company” model for New Leaf World Markets, New Leaf Seed Foundation, and our indigenous projects – like Maya Global 2012 – we can eliminate these two serious problems for developing nations around the world. Our model far exceeds what has been known as Fairtrade, and will set a new standard for how the global economy should operate based on the power of the socially conscious consumer.
